Cates Transmission

Highly recommend! I just recently had to replace the transmission on a 2018 Honda Accord touring edition. The dealership originally quoted me more than $8800.00! I immediately put calls out to transmission shops in Texarkana and Ed not only responded within 15 minutes but he got the work done for half the price I was originally quoted! Furthermore, he was able to complete the work in less than one week and he even went to the dealership to pick up my car for me free of charge! There was only one downside, and that was not Ed's fault whatsoever in that, when using a credit card, he had to charge a surcharge (credit card company shenanigans and is normal when it comes to paying mechanic shops these days) but even then, he only recouped what he himself was charged. My wife and I were EXTREMELY pleased with the whole experience and, although we don't live in Texarkana, they will still be our transmission shop going forward. I'm not sure where some of these other reviews took their cars but

It's been a great pleasure doing business with cates transmission & Auto repair there has not been an issue that I brought to them they have not been able to resolve from my BMW to my Silverado pick up

The owner Ed does not know what he is doing. Do work and not give an estimated. Holds your car hostage. Do not bring your vehicle here
