McWhorter Tire & Auto

I purchased a set of 6 Michelin tires for my one-ton dually pickup. I spent an extra $300 at McWhorter's downtown Lubbock shop because I wanted to support a local business over a national chain. After a year, I came back from a trip pulling my fifth wheel to New Mexico, and one of the inside rear tires had a total sidewall failure. McWhorter's replaced it with a Goodyear tire on a Wednesday, since they could not get the same Michelin tire. They inspected the remaining 5 tires and announced them all in great shape. Two days later, on Friday evening, I was in Tarrant County on another trip with my RV, and the other inside rear tire had the same total sidewall failure. It was after 6 pm, and I limped into a national chain tire shop the next morning. I of course did not trust the remaining 4 tires McWhorter's said were in "great shape" 2 days before, and had another set of 6 Bridgestone's put on the truck.
