My daughter went to this shop for her truck it had a broken timing belt the tech quoted belt, water pump gasket, plus coolant flush, oil change and filter, valve cover gaskets replacement. Which the extra items aren't required for a timing belt change. Lucky her friend was with her that has 30+ years working for a Toyota dealer and knows all about that type of repair, and she didn't allow them to do the work which was over 3,000.00. The tech said he wouldn't do the job unless he did all the extra items. The coolant was changed 6 months ago, the oil and filter was changed last week and the valve cover gaskets aren't leaking. When the water pump is removed all the coolant comes out and new coolant has to be added. My daughter's friend was told because he has to go into the engine the oil needed to be changed. A timing belt isn't submerged in motor oil. They had the truck towed out of there. That repair was estimated by another shop at 600.00 parts and Labor. This shop has a good reputati
