Total Auto Repair

My dad & I traveled to Mexico back in December 2022. Our trip was cancelled & we’re coming back, and decided to stay in Texas to find out my dads truck was trying to give up on him so we took it to a shop. Hence we are from San Jose Ca & don’t know any good mechanics so when they “fixed” our truck, we came back to San Jose to our known & trusted mechanic. To find out the items that we paid $3,000 to get fixed to make it back to San Jose we’re not fixed & nothing was cleaned out or replaced. They scammed my dad & took an easy $3K service that would’ve been $200 worth of work probably even less. Don’t go here if you’re from out of town & don’t trust them! They don’t call back or respond when they claim to give you a call back!! Services: Transmission, Engine repair, Transmission repair, Auto maintenance

I took my 2003 Saturn vue for engine diagnostic and they assured me it needed engine replacement for 4k$. I took my vehicle and inspected myself and noticed most bolts loose and some missing after they performed diagnostic. Moreover engine works great, I replaced the carbon filled spark plugs and works great now. So frustrating now that I have to replace three bolts which they lost and leave a minor vacuum leak. We did NOT receive 5 star service. Im not sure why we were given such horrible service since its obvious good service here is achievable. We took in our Ford Explorer because of engine failure. We scraped together $6000 to replace it and paid it off long before we even got it back. They kept our vehicle for 2 whole months. Im all for being thorough, but there was NO communication unless we initiated it. 2 weeks after getting it back check engine light turned on and now they want $1700 to replace the catalytic converter. When we mentioned we were going to try to get it cheaper from another shop they stated they would void the warranty for the engine repair. Its not even related! Needless to say we wont return and caution to anyone who wants to go here. Enter at your own risk.
