Dallas Car Care

I have used Dallas Car Care for years, and although we may not have been their best customer we were regulars customers coming in several times a year with our 2007 Escalade ESV and 2001 Corvette. Rob and Dave are the owners and on Thursday June 10, 2021 I called up to the shop and talked with Rob. I told him the AC in my Corvette was blowing hot on the drivers side and cold on passengers side and although I was pretty sure my left actuator was bad I would like to get a charge on the AC to make sure the problem wasn't just low Freon. I asked him how long it would take since I had to work Thursday evening at 6:30. He told me an hour and I said be right there. Dropped it off at 2:45 and asked him to call me when it was ready. Also told Rob that I thought the left actuator was going out would he please give me an estimate for it, and he said he would. At 5:25 I called them, twice since they close at 5:30 and I had not heard from them. No answer. Arranged a ride to work and drove

Been taking our cars here for a couple of years after a friend's recommendation. They'd done oil changes, alignment, suspension work, inspections, and other small repairs. Always very friendly and fast, and have even finished some work that I'd started and then got in a jam on. Both of the owners have been good to deal with, giving pragmatic advice on older cars, and not pushing unnecessary repairs. Well, this time I was prepared to be disappointed. We had a warranty issue; I don't know if it was just a bad part or an error in installation, but there was an issue somewhere. Took it back in and was prepared for an argument, since this is usually where it goes bad and it's time to find a new shop...... Not this time! Problem fixed 100%, car back, got a $0 warranty repair ticket, and a sorry for the trouble. As they say, we're not defined by our mistakes but how we recover from them. These guys are solid. I thought my car was a lost cause. I had taken it to 2 other places that didn't have time to look at it, then I went to Dallas Car Care and they diagnosed my car right away and fixed it in less than an hour. The price was very reasonable too.
