I had an unfortunate experience where I was driving and all of a sudden, I lost power steering and heard a loud blast from my engine immediately following thick pluming billowing smoke pouring out from under my hood. I thankfully had my phone in my lap so I threw it into park and jumped out leaving all my belongings, purse, bags etc and was able to call 911 and fortunately a Fire Truck was there in minutes. There was SO much thick smoke that I couldn’t see flames but the Fire Department opened the hood and told me my Radiator blew up. I’m a proud AAA member and it was obvious my vehicle wasn’t drivable because the explosion blew the Tensioner Belts off as well but the apartment complex that I was stuck at called their tow truck driver who arrived first. Thank goodness I had cash or he would have certainly taken it somewhere far away and not allowed me to stay with my vehicle and have it towed to a repair garage.
