Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care

Beloved old '81 Chevy truck's transmission went out while I was in Spartanburg, SC. Cottman was A-1 from the word go - over the phone and in person. Proficient, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable - how the heck they gathered all the necessary ancient parts for a complete rebuild within a week is beyond me, but Old Blue runs as smooth as butter. They do good work but are very slow and do not communicate with you at all . My car has sat for almost 2-3weeks with no updates no anything but whenever they get to it they get the job done

I took a shot at these guys as I needed a new Transmission Multi-Function Switch for my 2000 VW Eurovan. I spoke to Tom on the phone and was very helpful so I decided to being my van in. He installed the part in less than an hour as he expected and charged me for their 1-hr labor (I provided the part myself). The code I was getting has been resolved and the van is running great again. I would definitely go back to Cottman Transmission if I have any future car repairs needed. Tom was honest, friendly and helpful.
