Luke's Auto

Catalytic converter stolen and I'm new to Columbus. I've lived here for less than a year and hadn't needed auto service yet. I asked a coworker for suggestions, and they suggested Luke's. Thank goodness. As a young woman, people often try to take advantage of me, but I actually know things (I can change my oil myself). Anyway, at Luke's, I never felt worried. If there's one word to describe the business, it's "transparency." But if I could also add another it would be, "family." They are extremely transparent and honest. When you go in, they not just tell you what needs to be done but show you the proof and are very thorough in their inspections. Also, the employees all just want the best for you. They made me feel like family by the way in which they helped me. A catalytic converter replacement is NOT cheap, but Luke's actually suggested to look into my car insurance for comprehensive to cover it. Nobody likes going to a mechanic, but Luke's is hands down the most honest, hassle-free mechanic I've found. They are extraordinarily transparent in their pricing and diagnoses. They walk through their invoice with you line by line, and send really detailed inspection reports. They don't pressure you to fix everything at once — they are honest about what needs immediate attention, and what can wait so you aren't left with a larger bill than needed. Their reps are incredibly friendly and polite. Something small that makes a huge difference: they will arrange an Uber for you to to/from the shop while they have your car. They also have free loaner cars if your repair takes multiple days. I've NEVER heard of a mechanic that does that. Car dealerships don't even do that. It's awesome for people who only have one car (like me) and always have trouble arranging transportation when their car is in the shop. Such a great gesture that really goes a long way. Dennis was great!! He kept me informed of what needed repaired, was very knowledgeable (and honest), and was accurate with the running cost. :) The work that was done is fantastic!! My clutch is smooth as butter, my car drives straight now with no steering wheel shimmy, and the new tires have made my car SO much quieter. I'll go back to Luke's in a second if I need any more work on this or our other car. I have also HIGHLY recommended Luke's to everyone I've talked to since I got my car back!! Thank you!!
