This mechanic is worthless and likes to rip people off. He charged me $950 ($79.99/hr labour) to change the gasket, and control arms that he said was moving the steering wheels while breaking. He returned me the car on same day. Next day i realised the oil from the gasket was leaking and the steering wheel was still shaking. I took the car back to him, he said the gasket he put popped for some reason and did something quick to fix it. But when I told him that the control arm is still moving, he said he can't do anything about it because he don't remember saying that the control arm was moving due to breaking. I was so angry at that point because he started making stories to get away and told me that I need to changed the break in order to fix that problem. I just went to a different mechanic who told me that the previous mechanic didn't even change the control arm on right side which I paid for. He also told me that I was charged three times more for the parts that wasn't even put
I was new to the area and was recommended to Doug. Very happy I was. He and his team have helped me in quite a few situations when you really need a mechanic you can trust.
Bought a used car riddled with issues. Decided to go with Douglas as he gave me a free diagnostic and adviced me honestly on what repairs I needed. Let's start by saying he guarantees his work for a year, and besides willing to answer all my never ending questions, he changed my under performing alternator, timing belt, water pump, transmission and differential flush, and an oil and filter change. Checked all my fuses and welded my loose step bars. A month later, my car leaks oil, I'm told it's unrelated to the timing belt work that was done, but Doug undid his work to check and it's leaking gaskets from the oil pump right around that area. I know it wasn't leaking before, but now it's another expensive fix, if you have deep pockets I recommend them, if not don't buy a used car.
