Marte Tire & Auto Mechanics (Entrance on 55th Street)

I am going to try and give an honest review based on my experience. I had a older car 2003. Part of the problem was that I had an old car that was starting to give problems. Originally, I paid $4500 for the car. Mechanic shops like Marte cater to people who have older to mid-life vehicles. Over the past 3 years or so, I have spent about $3000 at Marte auto-shop for various things. Those include Alternator repair, Engine mount replacement, engine change among other smaller items that they recommend changing. In the early days, for the smaller items such as alternator, fan belt, temperature sensor work etc…it was ok. These small jobs can cost anywhere from $189 to $350. After those small jobs, I felt a little more confidence that I can drive my car a few hundred to thousand more miles without problems. However, when it comes to bigger items such as engine replacement and transmission, I would advise not to visit places like this. These replacements are very expensive and there are a lot

Had a tire that was not reparable. Was told to go there. After searching for the right size tire they said they had one brought it out and replaced it. Quick service I was so happy. Even tipped the guy. Less than 24 hours later had 3 nails, not 1 3 in another tire. Went to a different repair shop and obviously that tire was not reparable because of how many holes. After a few minutes they came out and said hey you know that other tire is the wrong size right. So now im out the money for the tire i bought from this place plus the tip and had to buy 2 new tires. Looking through these reviews I am not the first person to go there with a flat and come out with another one. Will never go back or recommend.

All mechanics are worse they don't have knowledge about any kind of car. I have a big list of names.they ruined my car recently. I lost lots of money and time May/10/2023 till today May/22/2023 I am not able to use my car for work.
