I called Pete’s Auto before I took my 2009 ES 300 Lexus and asked him how much would he charge to swipe out an alternator Pete just informed me to bring my car in. I brought an alternator and brought my car in to Pete auto shop. So after Pete allegedly looked at my car he calls me and informed me it would be $700-$900. If you looked at my car it should have been a direct price given to me. Pete then proceeds to inform my battery is fried and I need a new battery. With the new battery it would cost $1000. I informed Pete I brought the alternator he informed me if my alternator fits. Why would I not buy an alternator that fits my vehicle? I did my research and seen mechanics should only charge you $100-$300 to swipe out an alternator. My boyfriend informed me Pete is beating you in the head. I asked around as well and was informed the same thing from other people. I called Pete and informed him I was getting my car towed from his shop Pete then proceeded to ask me all these questions. Walked in yesterday around 2:00pm to get a diagnostic on an issue I was having with my belts. Pete was the one who helped me figure out the issue and found a way to fit me into his busy day.
