BILLINGS BEWARE: I’m no stranger to the challenges of being a business owner and no one is perfect. However, if you value your LIFE or your money, DO NOT take your vehicle to Jim & Tracy’s in Billings, MT. My co-workers and I are lucky to be alive and unfortunately out an extra $1,000 over the $5,000+ they charged to send us down the road in a deadly situation. I’m all for supporting the small guy, the local guy, but many lies and a dangerous trip later; Jim & Tracy’s is the last place you want to take your vehicle. After some research, I’m not the only one that has been sent down the road in a vehicle with near deadly consequences. If you read into Jim & Tracy’s replies/rebuttals to these negative experiences you’ll find a repeated claim “They’re sorry, they’re not perfect, and we offered to fix it(after you pay tow it back or continue to risk your life driving it). After giving them ample opportunities to fix it right, finding someone else to fix it, seeing the numerous safety issues
Omg. Are they on something?? My vehicle was better off before then when I got it back. After nearly $1500 on my truck it was still in horrible condition Had to take it to another mechanic shop the very next day
I brought a pickup here for an alignment after replacing my tie rods, I got a call back an hour later telling me that they couldn't align it because the drivers side upper and lower ball joints were worn out. Which is very interesting considering I had replaced all 4 ball joints along with all wheel bearings within 1,000 miles ago. When I went back to get my pickup I was provided an estimate of what they wanted to replace 2 ball joints and a center link... I almost had to pick my jaw up off the floor when I saw the price, and I've provided a pic of the estimate so you can see how ridiculous it is. They want over $1200 to replace 2 ball joints and a center link. Mind you, a fair shop could replace all suspension components on this pickup for this price. Outrageous price and wasted time aside, the most shameful part of this experience was the fact that these crooks tried to sell me work that absolutely did not need to be done, and I want to make any potential customer aware of this. Oh,
