I have been having issues with a major parasitic draw (1.5-2 amps) on my battery since May, which had completely killed my old battery. I was finally able to take it in to find the problem last week. I figured it would take them a few hours to find… it turned out to be very difficult to locate the issue. It took several days to run all kinds of tests and dig around until they found the wiring issue (the wiring from the alternator). The tech, Scott, was extremely generous with his time and labor. Galen kept me updated and informed every step of the way, which I greatly appreciate. It was stressful not knowing what the issue would be and if I’d be able to afford the costs (I’m a pretty broke college student), but the fact that Galen was very up-front with me about everything they’d be doing and what they’d be charging me for made it the best experience it could’ve been. We were driving from Austin, Texas, to Prince Edward Island and were just outside of Springfield when a spark plug exploded in the engine of our 2014 Subaru Outback. My husband and I called two dozen mechanics in the area and Complete was the ONLY place where we could get in first thing the next morning - everywhere else was booked through next week and unwilling to squeeze us in. Their diagnostic service was fast and reasonably priced and Michael was wonderfully communicative, letting us know where things were at every few hours as the engine replacement estimate came together so we could figure out our moves in real time. Their shuttle service helped us get where we needed to be without spending even MORE money on Lyfts or a rental. Ultimately the engine was totaled and we ended up buying another used Subaru within the day, but Complete made a nightmarish situation so much easier for us - I wish we were local so we could patronize them more! I brought a vehicle in from a dealership in Springfield, Missouri one that I was planning to purchase. The folks at Complete Automotive did a thorough pre-purchase inspection of the vehicle. Michael went over all of the findings on the vehicle, and though the results were not what I wanted. They were honest and thorough. Because of all the problems they found with the vehicle Michael felt that it was some thing I should probably walk away from. Though it was very disappointing and cost me to find out it saved me a lot of money in the long run. I would definitely go back and have them inspect any vehicle I would ever plan to purchase. I would also have them do any work on my car in the future. They were simply amazing! I have had this done once before at a different automotive place not here in Missouri, but in California and the inspection process was not nearly as thorough as what they did here at Complete Automotive.
