A-1 Custom Car Care

I've been using A-1 for maybe 20 years? It's been a very good run but sadly today is my last visit. I needed an oil change on my Tundra. It was slow but I was late, seems fair. The real problem was when I was told I need transmission service /fluid change($280) My immediate response was "No it doesn't" but I didn't explain why I knew that. The service writer told me the fluid was dark. I knew two things, I had just had it done at a different shop and my truck doesn't have a transmission dipstick. There's no way to determine dark fluid without significant work. I challenged the service writer and initially he blames "a new system" finally he admitted he made up the dark fluid part. And that the ticket reflected Service Trans if not already done. Very different from "you need transmission service" "the fluid is dark" Long story short. They would have happily taken the $280, dumped the nearly new fluid, and refilled and I would have likely never known. It's predatory and had I been less

I took my car in to A-1 Custom Auto “Car Whisperers” for a diagnostic look at what might be causing a knocking sound I was hearing. They identified the problem and we came up with a maintenance plan that will hopefully allow me to be able to keep driving my car for miles and miles to come. They were efficient, knowledgeable, and kind. Great place! Great people!! Great Service!!!

They have never disappointed me in quality customer service and fixing my cars the right way the first time with honest feedback about the cost of the repairs and what my options are.
