417 Mobile Auto Repair

Had them come out to Strafford to put an alternator in my car. The young man was very nice. Had a problem with a pulley a week later and he took care it. The owner of this company stands by his work. He had me back on the road in no time. Al is an honest mechanic which is hard to come by nowadays. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a mechanic that won't take advantage of you. Won't come back. Replaced a battery fine. Second visit the car had a rattle. Paid $300 for be brakes and rotors to fix that problem. Oops... still rattles. Then he said it was the transmission and it needed replaced completely for about $1,500 to $2,000. So I took it to some transmission specialists. Not only did the transmission NOT need replaced (just some seals/gaskets replaced), they also found the rattle. The front driver's side hub (wheel assembly) was wobbly and falling apart... something any mechanic should have definitely seen while replacing rotors and brakes! They missed it completely!!! $500 in repairs at the other shop (for transmission and hub) and it's good as new. Glad I didn't waste any more money at 417 Auto Repair!

I wouldn't, you'd have better luck watching YouTube yourself and doing it. When they say they fixed the problem it'll pop back up in a day.
