I've had off and on problems with my traction control for at least over a year. The dealer could never resolve the problem. Midwest attributed it to the aftermarket suspension which the dealer never addressed. Problem solved and the Jeep drives better than it has in YEARS. A coworker of mine (I usually work on her car but I'm getting married soon and she didn't want to bother me) took her car in to get a check engine light diagnosed. The engine light was on for an evap leak. They recommended replacing a $60 gas cap so she did. Check engine light came back on, they then said the charcoal canister needs to be replaced which requires the gas tank needing to be removed. She approved the $700 repair. After driving the car for a couple days the check engine light came back on. They are now saying the purge valve needs to be replaced (which is around a $100 repair that she also HAS TO PAY FOR.) Do not use this shop. They will charge you an outrageous amount of money to not fix a vehicle the first time. This place has been absolutely horrible to work with. We went in with the check engine light. They ran diagnostics and suggested a part that they believed would fix it. It did not; the check engine light came back on. I called up there talk to JJ who repeatedly said what do you want me to do about it to me and my husband and eventually ended up hanging up on me before letting me talk with a manager. I called back up there and talked with Ian on the phone who explained everything pretty well however, when the E light came back on and we were instructed to bring the car back for a third time, he stated that they knew exactly what was wrong, and then it would be another amount of money to fix it. My question is why was that not fixed in the first place if you already knew what the problem was, and why am I paying you more money because you fixed the wrong part? I understand that there’s some trial and error but when you run a diagnostics on my car and you stated to me that you know what
