Messed up my cylinder head that I sent in to have rebuilt. Used a pair of pliers to hold the camshafts in place when reinstalling and timing. We’re too arrogant to tell me they didn’t have the correct tool to get the job done. When I mentioned the damage they kept blowing it off. They offered to try and figure out a “different way” to repair it but still refused to purchase the correct tool or let me take it somewhere that was qualified. They also refused to even refund me properly for the job, going back on their word for the amount. The cam locking tool for this 2008 vw gti cost less than $60. Which seems totally reasonable when they charged me almost $200 for an entire head rebuild kit when, by their own description, it only needed $40 of parts. 85% of the kit was unused and they just had me take the monetary fall for their laziness.
