I didn't think this kind of customer service existed anymore. My car was leaking coolant and I needed it fixed quickly. I just moved into town and found Hoover and Sons online. Drove over met Nick, he had my car diagnosed in just a few minutes, cracked radiator. Gave me a very fair price. Chuck the owner gave me a ride because I had ro get to a meeting. They called me back four hours later, all fixed. Nick picked me up in my car so I I could test drive it. Went back , paid my bill, visited with Rose their Yorkie and left a very happy customer. They will get all my work from now on.
Absolutely love this place and have been taking my cars there for over 20 years. Chuck is amazing, friendly and fair. Nick is a top notch mechanic as well. I don't take my vehicles anywhere else.
I wouldn't recommend this repair shop at all. Here's a rundown of my experience: I called ahead on Monday to see if they would be able to have my car repaired Wednesday. I needed to have my AC compressor replaced and a small ticking noise in the engine diagnosed and fixed. Chuck said "yep no problem we'll have it done today or tomorrow." Monday and Tuesday go by, and I hear nothing. I call twice Wednesday, and get no response other than "Chuckis out and we can't help you." Thursday, I get a call from a different technician, Garret, who calls to ask what the problem is. I told him the work I needed done, which was also on the receipt, and he says they can't do the AC Compressor until next Monday, minimum, since it hasn't been ordered yet. I ask him to diagnose the engine, and that we'll tackle the AC Monday. He calls back and says they replaced a valve and cleared the codes, and can't hear the ticking noise. At this point, I ask to pick up my car on Friday, and bring it back the next Mo
