3G's Tire and Auto Service

This place used to be awesome. You could call and ask if they had your tire size. When you asked to schedule a time to come in they said they didn’t do appointments and to just show up. I haven’t been since they switched locations which was close to five years ago. It’s different now. I called to ask about tire changes and they only do appointments. “If you drive in you’re gonna sit around waiting all day” is what they told me. Also, not open on the weekends at all. Sucks to being your car to a shop when their only hours are during your work time. Since I haven’t had them do any service recently I’m not doing one star. Old 3Gs would have been five stars for sure. But I obviously can’t give 5 stars to a service I can’t even use. “All good things must come to an end.” “They don’t make them like they used to”

Once again scammed by this place. I called Monday, the lady told me they had two used tires in my size, quoted me 90 bucks for both. She said she'd mark them as sold for when I had my appointment. I go in today, Wednesday, and suddenly the used tires I was promised were being held for someone else. I got 1 new one put on for more than the price they quoted for 2. Then I noticed that this "new" tire was missing the air valve cap. The guy was adamant about using the tires that were promised to me for the other person who was coming in on Friday. Apparently it didn't matter that they were already promised to me. This is is 3rd time I've been screwed by these people. I'll never go there again.

Brought in vehicle for brakes, pads, oil change and alignment desperately needed. Front desk customer service associate wearing a thick gold or silver chain had attitude as soon as I walked in. I told him I was looking for the least expensive options but quality and he laughed at me and make a snide comment that they are expensive. Strike 1. I needed a ride or cab recommendations to get to the waterfront for work and he basically told me he had nothing to offer me and there are no cab companies in Portland anymore. Strike2. I walked away and shrugged and he had the Nerve to call me out and go into a rant how he didn't want to service my car. I should have left then but I hoped that idiot would be professional. They called me at 1:30pm after having my car since 9:30 and intentionally quoted me $1200.00 for brakes and they don't have the parts.... Gonna be an overnight situation. Losers. Took it to a prime dealership next day .... $500.00 for brakes with the requested alignment. Funny t
