Dorsey Transmission & Automotive Repair

My husband and I traveled from Indiana to visit family here in Severn and had an issue with our car. My husband brought the car to Dorsey to have it checked out. The guys there checked out the transmission and ran diagnostics and went above and beyond to ensure our ride home will go well. It was very clear that customer service was more important than profit. We didn't think there were still people that take care of customers like this.

A very professional and helpful owner and manager. The Ford Focus had had very many issues with its transmission (historically) and only Dorsey Transmission (Severn) out of 5 that I checked within a 10 mile radius would fix it, and not necessarily with a brand new part, but ones that were already used (clutch, transmission, etc.). Just a simply superb crew, considerate, most professional, and extremely helpful - good hearted people. My Ford Focus works like brand new. About 2 weeks ago, I was driving a car that my husband inherited from his brother from south Jersey to southwest Fl. About 3 hours into my drive, the car started acting weird. I decided to get off I-95 as it was 4:30pm and I was afraid I might break down in rush hour traffic if I continued. Because it was close to closing time, I spent the night in a nearby hotel. The next morning, I had the great fortune of picking Dorsey's to take my car to, after reading several great reviews. True to the reviews, they were honest and courteous and went out of their way to make sure the car was safe to get back on the highway. I did not have an appointment and they were booked, but because of my situation, Rick asked Jack to give the car a road test. He was gone for a bit and came back and said he didn't think it was the transmission.
