I have mixed feelings about Bear Automotive. I had a couple thousand worth of repairs done here over time, and its all held up fine over the years, but there have been points of concern along the way. One time bringing in my car I was, among other things, looking for an opinion on a very loud transmission rattle that's virtually impossible to miss. They somehow forgot I asked about it, and also didn't notice when test driving? I had to point it out after the fact before they realized anything was off. Makes me wonder what else they miss. More recently, my wife got an older hybrid vehicle. I know Bear can sometimes be a bit choosy in what work they pick up, so we only called them up for some pretty standard, non-hybrid-specific issues, like a wheel bearing or a water pump. For both issues, they refused to work it. With the water pump especially, they made it clear the issue was that they refuse to work on any hybrids if the work is even mildly technical. They did refer me to a good shop
