Checked the car in and never got an estimate. They misdiagnosed it and did what they “felt” was wrong. It was under a premise to “save” me money. Half of the other things that were put on the work order were not done. The things that were done did not resolve the issue with the car.
So grateful for the mechanics and desk gentleman! I absolutely had no other choice than to get my Turbocharger on my VW Jetta 2016 1.4t replaced since it was worsening. I started to feel my car was lagging in acceleration over a period of 6 months. Believe it or not this was the 1st place I called, and they seemed genuine. I had other places wanting to charge me a lot. I was given a quoted price up front, though they did additional checks when I arrived hours later the same day. The older gentleman understood my situation and showed me the error code on the reader. I had two other mechanics tell me the same thing from close inspection. I went ahead and allowed them to work on it. They gave me a further discount and I thought it was very reasonable. I seriously appreciate them taking my car in last Thursday and repairing it by the end of day Friday, right before the weekend. I am able to see family back in Saint Louis without any issues so far. They guaranteed their work with a good mil
BMW dealer diagnosed a coolant leak and recommended changing all the hoses and estimated the cost to be $2500. Came to this shop to see if I can at least save some on labor as I know dealers charge double. Sam upfront told me it might be costly if we have to change all of the cooling hoses but first he recommended changing the clamps only, as it might fix the issue but no guarantees. Well, it did fix the leak and they only charged me $120. Very honest mechanic, hard to find these days.
