Jackson Ford of Decatur Service Center

I have been getting oil changes for the last 10 -1/2 years at Jackson Ford . They have always been kind and considerate. Always let me know when they r done and that all is good . Then walk me to the check out desk . This time I was really disappointed. I knew my check engine light was on when I arrived as well as I needed brakes too . No one approached me to ask about the check engine light . They also rate the wear & tear of your tires and brakes . Said my brakes were “green” beings rated as red yellow green . U could actually see brake dust on my rims. I waited over an hour and finally got up and used the rest room. Gone maybe 3 minutes. Sat back down and waited … only to look outside and my car was parked on the lot . I went to the desk and asked about it. I was told they always bring the keys and paper work up front . Let me look “looked in a drawer and the keys and paperwork were in the drawer!” Seriously if I had not went up and asked “how much longer would I have sat there !?

Jackson Ford in Decatur IL did a good job repairing my Mach-E that was under warranty. However, they need to understand the needs of electric vehicle owners. They have a type two charger on the outside of their service center and it is found on the Ford app when you look up chargers. However, it is not, I repeat not for public use. And that is very disappointing as there are not many places to charge an electric car in Decatur. Confusing that the app shows the charger is available for use however the ownership of Jackson Ford are not allowing customers to charge on it. Although this dealership is only three blocks from my office, with the lack of knowledge about electronic cars, I will use other dealerships for my vehicle service needs.
