Don is a great mechanic. He’s honest. I had my first interaction with him this week. My car had a small issue that was the result of a sensor not being plugged back in after an oil change. He didn’t try to sell me anything or recommend services I didn’t need. He fixed the problem and did not charge me anything extra beyond his basic diagnostic test fee, which I might add is much lower than a dealership. He has it in writing that he will call you if his costs are going to be over $100. I told him he had my permission to do whatever it took to get the car fixed as I had to go to work and would not have been available to take his call. He said he would call me anyway because he doesn’t like surprises and doesn’t expect his customers to either. He got my car in the same day and quickly enough that he called me before I had to leave for work. Even though I had verbally given him a blank check to do whatever the car needs to get fixed, he was honest and did not take advantage of my situation
