I’m a mechanic’s daughter and my dad was the only person to ever work on my cars. Since I’ve relocated and and my dad is 1,000 miles away I had to find a local mechanic here in Jacksonville. Luckily, a good friend recommended Tom. Tom is the only other person besides for my dad that I trust to work on any of my vehicles. He has replaced a transmission in my fiancé’s truck as well as replaced the entire air conditioning unit under the dash. He has also helped me maintain my oldie but goodie 2004 Mercedes that I absolutely adore, even with an unexpected tow trip in the middle of the night to his shop. Tom is personable, professional and has proven time and time again that he is a reliable mechanic, regardless of the make, model or age. Few months ago I brought in my van...changed a part. Charged me $1000...same issue happened days later.... wouldn't refund my $$... brought to an independent mechanic who works from home ..fixed for $50.... If I could give consolidated auto 0 stars... ***Then explain to me why after having my vehicle approximately a week that you order a part, put it in, charge ridiculous fee of $1000, then...two days later I come back to your business...you can't even figure out why it did it...I leave then..call an independent truck driver...who figures out the issue in one hour where it took your crew a week to do....and you didn't even fix the issue...fyi...it was loose wiring in the electrical switches .. quick fix...no parts involved minus taking out the wires and putting them back in after cleaning. This is the only mechanic I feel I have ever been able to trust besides my father in law, who lives on the other side of the country. I feel they are honest, and hard working mechanics.
