Newberry Road Imports

Newberry Imports has cared for my 2013 Subaru Forrester for over a year. They have done a great job maintaining her. The mechanic is honest, conscientious, and experienced. I highly recommend their services.

Used to be a great shop! This was my go-to place for any and all repairs on my cars... But recently, I took my car there to get it looked at (literally). I had a loose piece that rattled and just wanted them to take 15 seconds to give it a once-over... they told me it would be $40 to just look at it. As in, it was literally going to cost me $40 to have their eyeballs move 3 feet from my face down to my car. I drove to Autozone, they came out and took a look, got me a new part for like $8 and replaced it for me free of charge. My dad always told me that if a mechanic starts charging to just look at something, leave immediately. That's the tell-tale sign that they're dishonest and are trying to force their way into your wallet. A good shop with honest workers will help you figure out the problem quickly, then offer advice and their services to help you out. I had my mercedes towed there. They started on my car right away which I was very grateful for. They had it ready in 2 days. I was told that they checked my car out from top to bottom and still couldn't figure out why it was running hot. So I picked my car up and paid $576.00 for the service. I left the shop in my car. I wasn't 5 minutes away from the shop when I noticed my car was running hard and running hot so I had to pull off the interstate and get the car towed right back to them. Once again they checked my car out, diagnosed the problem but wanted to change out unnecessary parts that wasn't the problem and it was going to cost over $2,000.00. When I said no if it's not broken don't fix it, only change out the parts that is causing the problem, the Mechanic told me I could let them do it their way or take my car somewhere else, so I took my car somewhere else. My car is running like new and I only paid $770.00. I will NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO NO ONE Service: General repairs
