We had towed our vehicle to another mechanic to determine why the car wouldn't start and of course they charged us for the diagnoses, but were unable to fix the car. We took the vehicle to Havana Auto and he had the vehicle for almost a week, researching the problem. He figured the problem out, fixed it, and charged us an extremely fair price. This was over a month ago and the car is still running great. He will definitely be getting all our future car problems. Owner is a very fair, determined, nice guy! I highly recommend Lou and his staff. I had purchased a remanufactured Bosch alternator off Amazon. Installed it in my daughters new Beetle which is a very difficult job to do. Still didn’t charge. Took my old one to them to confirm it wasn’t charging, it wasn’t. I had to remove the new one, SMH. Took it to Lou, it did charge but was designed to spin in the opposite direction due to the one way clutch, Lou caught this fact. They tested, diagnosed, and repaired my old one for less than 1/2 of the remanufactured one. I included pictures of the alternator installed, guess where it is.
