If I could put 0 stars I would. Went in at 11:30 to refill transmission fluid. Didn’t get the car back till 4 and all they did was read the car computer and charge me $116 for it and insisted the mechanic start on something else. Was never told I could have just came in to use the device for free . Waited 5 hours just to be told now my service is going to charge $1200 just to fix. Whole time I could have ran up the road to O’reillys and saved myself 5 hours and almost $120 out my pocket for nothing. Needless to say I found the problem myself and fixed it in less than an hour for a mere fraction of the cost. Pep boys is definitely here to lighten your pockets , not take the auto business seriously. I came back to ask and all they could tell me was they charged me $120 to read the obd code. Whole time it’s free anywhere . Such a waste of time, energy, and money after driving an hour to my 11:30 appointment that didn’t resolve anything.

I went into pep boys to have a single tire replaced because I ran over a nail and my sidewalk was compromised. I went in and asked for a replacement. The attendant was not at the desk. He told me that the replacement would take 1.5 hours and there were 2 people ahead of me. After 2 hours my truck was not even being worked on and I saw the technician on his phone next to my truck. They couldn't find my lug lock and never even called me, luckily I came back to check. After 4+ hours my truck was finally finished and they didn't apologize or even see a problem. Do not use this location. Extremely slow and poor service. I've had much better experiences at the pep boys in Manchester.

I made an appointment for an oil change for 11:00 AM. I showed up on time and sat for an hour in the waiting area and they still hadn't taken my car back. I asked the guy at the counter how long it might take, and he said it still might take an hour and a half. I had to end up leaving so I didn't waste another chunk of my day. What are appointments for?
