High Plains Transmission

Do not recommend. 2008 GMC Yukon Denali Took it in and provided the exact trouble codes from my handheld reader along with the likely issues. Asked for detailed diagnostics to narrow the trouble down to one issue. They called early the next day and told me it needed an entire new trans for $5k but couldn't tell me why or what the diagnostics said was broken. Instead, told me what I had told them upon dropping it off that the engine rpm doesn't match the input shaft rpm. When I asked them again for a detailed diagnostics they let my truck sit for a day and a half without touching it. When I came to pick it up they charged me $150 for "Diagnostics" even though they had not done them and told me it "is impossible to know what's wrong without opening the transmission up". Took it straight to the GMC dealer and they had it diagnosed as a bad valve body in 2 hrs. These guys are straightforward and take the time to go through everything with their customers. Came in thinking that I needed some major work. Instead of taking advantage of that fact, they pointed out some fairly minor issues that should be addressed but didn't have to happen right away. Will definately be taking it back for them to do the work. Highly recommend.
