Pep Boys

I needed to have routine maintenance on my vehicle. I was told, due to high mileage and a lack of history, that I should have a fuel system (spark plug replacement) service. I agreed because I was taking a road trip the next week. The total service cost around $900! I drove the car for a week, on and off the freeway, without any issues. During the roadtrip I encountered issues on the freeway, where I lost power and was only able to drive 20 mph. Luckily there was a pepboy's nearby. After initially being told that they would not be able to look at the car until the next day, I explained that I was from out-of-town, and they fit me in for a diagnosis. One of the ignition coils was not properly set in place and the connection was loose and causing an engine misfire. They determined that my initial fuel system service was improperly performed. They still wanted to charge $300 to replace the coil.

I was driving from Bakersfield to Visalia when a ladder flew out of a truck and I hit it. After my car was making a loud sound. The very nice gentleman at PEP boys were able to quickly do a visual inspection and quick repair for me and didn’t even charge me!! I am very grateful they allowed me to get back home safely W/ peace of mind Thank you PEP boys!

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT PURCHASE THE PRE PAID MAINTENANCE PLAN FROM A DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased the prepaid maintenance plan from HERTZ CAR SALES in fresno, ca. I have been to this specific pepboys 3 times to have my car serviced. I am supposed to receive regular scheduled tire rotations and oil changes. They dont happen. First time I went in for a tire rotation i was told to come back when my oil change was due. Went back for an oil change and tire rotation, even though they put in the computer that I recevied a rotation it never happened. when I asked why my tires weren't rotated i was told that my tread was good and I didn't need the service at the time. but it was put in their computer as completed. Third time i went back I called first and was told to bring my car down and it would take about 2 hours. once I got there I was told that I had a pre paid plan and I would have to make an appointment. which i thought I did when I called. Then i was told that they didn't do
