San Leandro Kia Service and Parts Center

This place is what nightmares are made of. Dropped my car on a Monday to get a recall service that I was told would take a maximum of 2 days to get completed. Wednesday I received a call from them letting me know that the part they were waiting for had arrived and if I could bring my vehicle back (my car was there) they didn't even know they still had possession of my car. I asked the lady for an update and she said she would have my advisor give me a call, never received a call from anyone. Fast forward to Friday. I had to call them because I still hadn't received any updates. They then tell me that the car is not going to be ready until Tuesday which I find ridiculous since they've had the part since Wednesday. Tuesday I had to call them because again no communication and they tell me the car is ready. It took them 8 days for something that should have taken no more than 3 days, zero communication on the delays, now I'm here waiting to pick up my car and it's been over 30 min and the

Unless this is your last resort, don't go here. I had an 8am appointment and took almost 3 hours to get out. 35 minutes to get checked in. Then they lost my keys and took 45 minutes to get my car after it was done. I was in a rush to get out and found out my car was also in line to go through the car wash! The service advisor knew I was in a hurry and they were very late, but the floor manager said he didn't know! I drove from SSF to San Leandro because none of the dealers on SF peninsula doing service I was told....however, I found out after getting there that since I have a new EV, all I needed was a tire rotation and inspection at 7500 miles! I could have taken it to my local mechanic! Don't waste your time here if you can avoid it.

I took my chances and came here for the first time since I refuse to go back to KIA of Newark after an incident that happened between me and the service manager there. My experience here at San Leandro Kia was FANTASTIC! I got there at 10:15 for a 10:40 appt. I parked my car in the line and Chris came out to me within 5 minutes of being there. I told him I just needed my regular car maintenance done. He told me no worries and that I have the option of either waiting in the customer lounge or they'll call me a lyft to take me home and bring me back to pick up my car. I was amazed! I've been going to KIA of Newark and never have I been offered any pickup/drop off services. I either have to sit there or need to have someone come pick me up. The fact that lyft was offered at San Leandro Kia was an absolute plus for me! Service was completed along with my vehicle being detailed within about 3 hours. Chris kept me updated via text from start to finish. I truly appreciated the professionalis
