CAUTION! Called to see about an oil pressure check for my 08 Audi. I have a good friend who was a Master tech for 27 years who gives me advice - and I'm pretty handy, but not a full mechanic. They quoted me $240 to do an oil pressure check. The dealership (Audi of the Monterey Peninsula) will do an entire engine diagnostic with factory trained master techs for . . . That exact same price - $240. Read a lot of reviews and the 5 stars are all simple "good service, really nice" (people who don't know about cars) and most of the 1 star reviews had details making it obvious the person actually has mechanical knowledge, a few with specific details that they lied or tried to unplug sensors to get more work. Seems like they specialize in European cars because they're expensive (so you can charge high for service) and many folks with euro cars aren't gearheads or wrenches - more typically people with $ and into luxury stuff (easily overcharged w/lack of knowledge and happy with "good customer s
