Sal is the best (defined as honest, competent and fair) transmission guy I know. I went there fearing the worst, but he quickly put my fears to rest and told me the problem was not in my transmission, but instead was my motor mounts (the car was making a horrible grinding noise upon heavy acceleration when it shifted gears). He could have easily sold me a transmission rebuild, but instead had the integrity to be honest, even though it cost him a sale. This is why I highly recommend Rancho Transmission to everyone I know that needs transmission work! I can say this with confidence since he also worked on my Navigator where once again i was afraid that i needed a rebuild, but Sal diagnosed it as a broken valve spring. Had to get my clutch sorted out. Was making that dreaded grinding noise and I knew it needed to be replaced ASAP before it went out.
