Quick Lane at El Centro Motors

Came in here for an oil change on my Transit van. When I came to pick it up, they told me I needed new brake pads immediately because they were reading at 2mm. I thought this was a bit strange because they had been reading at 10mm about 4 months before. I took it over to another local mechanic who offered to do an inspection for free. Turns out the rear brake pads were at 4 and 6mm - not 2mm. 4 and 6mm are not great, by any means, but quite a bit of a different situation than 2mm. Disappointed to experience this kind of unreliable reporting (especially as a woman in this kind of situation).

Quick and clean oil change, no oil spill on engine.

If I could give it a zero I would. Took our car to get brakes & arm control because they said we needed those fixed. A few days later while driving our whole tire came off & broke the axel. Luckily my husband was driving alone without our kids & a low speed. It was completely unable to drive. Had to get a tow truck. They did not even pay for the tow truck. Gave us NO RENTAL CAR. This happened on a Saturday & they are closed Sunday! DO NOT COME HERE. THEY ARE CARELESS & UNPROFESSIONAL. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Their carelessness could have been worse if we were traveling to SD or a high speed.
