Our family bought a vehicle from this shop. They used a different name for their garage, but are the same Newport Motorcars. They lied to our family about the condition of the vehicle. They said they repaired some major components of the car, so we felt very comfortable buying the vehicle. Turned out that the work was done very poorly and the car broke down almost causing a major accident. I was very surprised to find out that for many months, we were being given the run around, "the parts are coming" for things they broke. We can afford attorneys, but how many others must they have ripped off who can afford to hold them accountable? Bureau of Automotive Repair is the place to start complaints, but as a cash-strapped bureaucracy, they are slow and often not very effectual. In our case, everything is well documented. Don't buy from these guys.

I've known this shop since the mid-90's. As a former Associate Editor for SAE's Automotive Engineering magazine, I know what I'm looking for with cars. I trust there guys with any and all my stuff...honest, reliable, and Dimas always explains the options to you in a simplified manner so you can understand and make the right choice.
