AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care

VERY LENGTHY, but worth the read. We started having issues with our car and got to checked out from another shop in the area, some days before we were scheduled to leave for a family trip out of state. After getting the diagnosis and estimate, the shop told us that they wouldn't be able to get to it until 2 weeks after our trip. Our intention was to hopefully get the car repaired before our trip, so we brought our car back home and started researching transmission shops. The first place that I saw on the list was AAMCO, and since it was literally a few minutes from where we lived, I gave them a call. From the very beginning, I told the manager the entire situation about our trip, and what the other repair shop thought the problem was, and he told me that AAMCO runs all of these state of the art tests, and it could possibly be something not as serious as what the other shop told us. With that being said, I decided to let them check it out. That's where the problem started.... He called

Professional, knowledgeable and prompt service. Performed engine diagnostic to ensure me it was again safe to drive. Replaced necessary belts along with a stripped bolt from previous mishap. Was fixed same day! I'm very happy with their service. Would recommend Service: Auto engine diagnostic

RUN, PLEASE DONT DO IT! Go to Pro 1! They overcharge you for the service. They wanted to charge me almost 10k for a transmission and when I questioning about what the dealer charge for the cost of transmission they said they get them from, they went down to 7 k within a day! That lets you know they will overcharge. I had not vehicle removed from the premise and had in down right there in town for more than 2k cheaper. They are a rip off. Don’t trust it!
