Alignment Center and Alaska Car & Truck

Decided to try them out and I would never go back. Called and got a quote for 2 wheel alignment. $195 due to “modified vehicle fee” which is already the highest I’ve seen. Took it in and got a call where the tech ran through a list of all these things that were wrong with it including saying my brand new uniballs were bad (and then later saying he doesn’t know much about aftermarket parts). After running through this list, he told me the cost for the alignment would be $270! I said WHOA what happened to 195? He told me there is a “zero point calibration fee” which I’ve never payed for anywhere and I would consider a standard part of an alignment. It takes 5 mins if you have the tool which a professional shop should have. I said no thanks, you quoted me 195 and now its 270 Im out. They charged me a FEE for their bad quote. I also had them check my heating system but since they were such bone heads about the suspension, I question their assessment of the heater core.

I came back to a flat tire from vacation due to a bad valve stem after having my tires swapped. I dropped the tire off and came back the next day. They didn't fix it and completely forgot about it. Then when they did fix it after two days, they charged me 30 bucks for a bad valve stem they installed. Not a great tire shop, why pay more for a job poorly done?
